The Female Lead Is a Black Lotus Chapter 9 – Sound

“Why didn’t you do it?”

At night, the stars around the moon shone brightly, Nan Xueqing lightly sat on a long bench and gently stroked the grey cat next to her.

The gray cat squinted its eyes and turned over comfortably, but the two legs behind it suddenly kicked up in the air a few times.

“Meow-“

The sound was a little sharp, then slowly weakened.

“Meow,” the small body didn’t dare to move, looking at Nan Xueqing with a hint of fear in her eyes.

“You disobeyed.” The voice was still soft.

“Meow meow meow.”

The gray cat kept screaming as if trying to explain something, but Nan Xueqing got up to leave.

The gray cat immediately jumped off the bench and tried to follow.

“Don’t show up as of late, I don’t like disobedient pets.”

Nan Xueqing’s eyes were indifferent.

The grey cat cringed, one paw trying to take a tentative step forward, but the look in the other’s eyes made him retreat right back.

“Meow-” cried out in aggravation, but could only watch as the other left.

The gray cat instantly wilted.

As it prepared to return to its playhouse, a ghostly figure made it not poke its little head out, “Meow-“

“Bang” the sound of a chair being hit.

Zhang Hua’s entire body was momentarily startled until she saw that it was a grey kitten.

Looking towards the locker in the classroom that belonged to Lin Siyi, she squeezed the thing in her hand and gathered the courage to walk forward, “Don’t blame me, if you want to blame someone blame it on yourself for being too much of a bully.”

After doing all this, she looked down at the little gray cat that was still in the same place with its head tilted, with tears shining, she bent down and hugged the gray cat into her arms, “Were you also bullied, why is your neck bleeding.”

The gray cat’s ears moved and lifted one of its small feet to scratch its neck, but it was immediately stopped by Zhang Hua, “Don’t move, it’s going to hurt.”

“An animal’s organs aren’t quite the same as a human’s and I’m stupid, so I can’t treat you right away.”

“But it’s okay, I’ll take you back to the dormitory now, As long as I compare the contents of the book, I’ll make sure you heal.”

Zhang Hua spoke with her steps becoming faster, her eyes eager and seemingly with some excitement.

“Meow-” the grey cat shrank in the other’s arms and closed its eyes somewhat sleepily.

____________

In the dormitory building, as soon as Lin Siyi heard footsteps in the corridor, she immediately opened the door, but no one was there.

“???”

What’s going on? Is this place haunted?

She scratched her head, it was almost nine o’clock now, why hadn’t her roommate returned yet? She was alone in the big dormitory room, so it was inevitably it would be a bit lonely.

Lin Siyi went to the table, it was filled with books, all of which she had borrowed when she forcibly took Lin Chuliu’s library card when they returned.

There were some about the academy’s history, some about ghosts and magic classes, and others about this world.

Only a quarter of it gave Lin Siyi an incomplete understanding of this world and the original owner was often skipping classes. What she knew was too disorganized and she needed to sort it out.

Element Academy, was the name of this school.

It had three courtyards, in Courtyard A, the people tend to be offensive in their magic.

In Courtyard B, on the other hand, it was the support class, such as the healers that the original owner and the others learned. The array masters with a bit of offensive power, the clairvoyant that belonged to the organ mutation magic class, etc.. There was all kinds of chaos, only what you couldn’t think of that it didn’t have.

As for Courtyard C, it covered the smallest area in the academy and was in the most remote region, so it was often overlooked.

The magic that the people of the C courtyard possess is the ability to transmute ghosts and overtake them, commonly known as the Soul Crossing, using Lin Siyi’s understanding of the Yin-Yang category.

This is why the academy has the Soul Crossing Courtyard and the Clean Soul Temple.

It was because the academy was required to complete their studies to purify the evil ghosts inside so that they could enter the Temple of Clean Souls, unravel their hearts, and finally enter the cycle of reincarnation.

But the evil ghosts were ferocious, and many people would be seriously injured or even devoured upon contact.

Therefore, many people with the talent for transcending souls would rather be frightened by ghosts in the world than enter the academy.

In addition, many people in other courtyards don’t like to deal with people in C courtyard.

It might be because they were able to communicate with ghosts so it gave them the impression that they were haunted, crazy, and just very abnormal.

So whenever the three courtyard members start to team up, most people don’t want to take in the C courtyard.

But the good thing was that there was a mandatory requirement in the academy that there had to be a soul diversionist and two auxiliary teachers in the team.

Lin Siyi was lying on the table, staring at the alarm clock next to her, ticking.

In fact, this world still has the same place as her world, that is, most of the ordinary people.

Some people didn’t even know that magic existed in this world.

How to say it, this place is similar to the world of Harry Potter, there are places where normal people live and places where there are full of magic.

By forming a team and completing the requirements of the academy, you can leave this place, and then return to the place where normal people live and begin to free yourself from the protection of the academy.

The results are finally turned in and you can graduate if you pass.

After graduation, one could choose to remain in the academy or return to their home.

Lin Siyi put the books on her desk away and then walked out of her dorm room.

The world is actually quite dangerous, and it’s scary to think that there are abnormal people hiding among normal people.

The Academy is to find these abnormal people and then protect them, teach them the abilities they control, and guide them to the right path so that they don’t go astray and use their magic to harm society.

To think that the founder of this academy had a pretty righteous starting point.

Lin Siyi knocked on the door, but there was no response, so she couldn’t help but lean over to the bottom of the door to see if there was any light inside.

“What are you doing?”

The sudden voice startled her.

“Nan… Xueqing you just got back, I… I thought you’d be back already, so I wanted to talk to you.”

Nan Xueqing stared at her for a moment, then walked forward.

Lin Siyi tensed up, afraid that the other party would misunderstand something, “You, you have to believe me, I really came here to talk to you, absolutely nothing else.”

Facing Nan Xueqing’s approach, Lin Siyi couldn’t help but hold her breath, the other party was now less than a few centimeters away from her.

The air between was so quiet it was as if the sound of a pin drop could be heard.

Nan Xueqing’s head slightly moved a few degrees to the side.

A breeze from nowhere made the few strands of black hair that had been meekly hanging on either side of her cheeks tickle a bit as it gently brushed past Lin Siyi’s cheeks.

The lights on the corridor were a little dim, and the other’s eyes fell on her, looking closely, her eyes were actually a little blue with coldness, causing her to step back, but she hit the door directly, breaking the silence with a “bang”.

“Get out of the way.”

The low voice was inaudible to emotion.

“Huh?” Only then did Lin Siyi react to the fact that she was blocking the door of someone else’s dorm room and was instantly a little embarrassed.

Seeing the other party open the door, as the lights inside lit up, Lin Siyi immediately followed her inside.

Nan Xueqing lightly stopped to look at Lin Siyi who was following behind her, “What did you want to see me about?”

Lin Siyi gave a smile, “It’s nothing really, it’s just that Chen Xing hasn’t returned to the dormitory yet. I was just staying here and got bored, so I thought I’d come to see if you were back and find you for a chat.”

“A chat?”

“Yes, a chat.”

Nan Xueqing lightly pulled up the curtains, then went to the wardrobe and took off her shirt with her back to Lin Siyi.

Lin Siyi’s eyes couldn’t help but stare.

What a small waist! The skin is so white!

“You wouldn’t have talked to me before.”

“Huh?” Lin Siyi reacted, “It used to be before, now is now, people will change.”

Nan Xueqing lightly turned around, her clothes had already been changed.

Lin Siyi’s eyes were on the top of her legs, but the other party was slow to move, shouldn’t she change her pants? She also wanted to see Female Lead’s long legs.

As a result, she lifted her head and met Female Lead’s eyes with a smile.

“It has indeed changed.”

Lin Siyi not only didn’t feel that the Female Lead in front of her was not the same as before, but she felt that she was affirmed by the other party and acted bolder.

“It’s past nine o’clock now, and I see that your roommate hasn’t returned, so why don’t we make it up again tonight?”

The smile at the corner of Nan Xueqing’s mouth disappeared, then she slowly removed her casual pants, revealing a pair of long, slender, fair legs, thighs and calves without any trace of excess fat. Yet not as thin as a bamboo pole, everything was just right, one couldn’t look away.

“Okay.”

Hearing Female Lead’s gentle voice, Lin Siyi withdrew her own gaze, the sides of her cheeks tinged with red at some point.

“Well then, I’ll go back and take a shower first.”

Nan Xueqing lightly approached her with her long legs, “I’m just about to take a bath, why don’t you join me?”

“No, no, I’ll go wash up and come back to you later.”

After saying that, she directly ran out.

Nan Xueqing light eyes were deep, not knowing what she was thinking about.

Lin Siyi ran back to her own room in a flash, and leaned behind the door trying not to breathe heavily.

Then her hands touched her cheeks, so hot.

Patting her face, even she didn’t know why she was running back in such a panic.

In her mind, she could not help but think of the other party’s long legs. It was simply legs that all women dreamed of.

Also, the black lace worn by the heroine also looks good. Lin Siyi, who has never tried lace, was suddenly eager to try.

There was another sound of footsteps in the hallway, and she looked through the cat’s eyes and didn’t see anyone.

Curiously, she opened the door, wondering if it could be her roommate returning, but still didn’t see anyone.

” Did it come from downstairs?”

But the footsteps clearly sounded like they were very close.

Lin Siyi couldn’t help but pick up her ears, it seemed that her ears were a bit bad.

While taking a shower, Lin Siyi hummed cheerfully, but then she heard footsteps, her nerves immediately tensed up and turned the water sound off, but nothing moved.

Then turned it back on and listened carefully with ears cocked, but there was still no other movement except for the sound of water.

Just as she let her guard down, footsteps sounded again. It was much closer than last time, as if, as if they were inside her quarters!

Lin Siyi immediately turned off the faucet, wrapped her bath towel haphazardly, and secretly opened a crack in the door. There was still no one there!

“Thud thud thud.”

The sound rang again.

I will go!

Lin Siyi’s heart fluttered with the thud, and taking a deep breath, she immediately opened the bathroom door and rushed outside.

Translator: Wha- Why would you strip in front of someone you barely know!? Oh and a little fun fact about my culture: If there’s a knock on your door and you open it but if no one then you have basically invited the ghost(s) in. Great job. It’s like a vampire ghost, in which they need to be let in. So if you see no one, don’t open it!! This chapter was fun to translate. I want to do another chapter but I have to go to work right now and feel free to support this novel on Ko-fi if you enjoyed it and want more chapters.

  1. So in chapter 16 according translation in mtl, a girl transport MC’s luggage using “magic” (floating out of thin air) in front of her cost her lot. Later while she was eating with FL with two othet friend, they are discussing about FL’s friend’s girlfriend (transporter girl). Same sex relationship was also new to FL. she was curious about mc’s reaction turn to see beside her. Her reaction was like struck by lightning. FL chuckle found her expression interesting.

While in MC’s mind she remembered that that girl used magic (IN FRONT OF HER) to transport still took so much money.

MC is such an idiot I have never seen any mc as stupid as her in any story!

    1. Well…they do almost emphasize how there might be something wrong with her head in every chapter. Unfortunately, I had the pleasure of translating a novel with a white lotus before. Just know that it was unpleasant. I stopped after c15 I think, so I have read a story with a very stupid mc.
