Let Me Go! I Need to Study! Chapter 17 – I’m not home, go away

Yu Miaoyin was so anxious that she jumped up from the hospital bed, her facial features wrinkled into a ball, and hurriedly asked, “Is she sick? Or is she in a bad mood?”

Sun Qian shook her head and didn’t say anything. Yu Miaoyin, who was dying of anxiety, urged, “Qian Qian, don’t be so stubborn.

“She… she was detained….”

“Detained?” Yu Miaoyin opened her mouth, as if she didn’t understand what Sun Qian said.

“Her cat was run over and killed some time ago, and senior sister, I don’t know what happened, but she got into a fight with someone on the street, and then the police came and detained her for ten days….” Sun Qian took a stool and sat on the edge of the bed, “The person she beat up seems to have some connections, and when she found out about our school, she made a lot of commotion and made sure to expel senior sister before she would stop.”

“What!?” Yu Miaoyin grabbed Sun Qian’s shoulders and shook her vigorously, “What did the school say?”

“Don’t worry…. don’t worry!” Sun Qian was dizzy when she was shaken by Yu Miaoyin and broke free of Yu Miaoyin’s hand, “The school hasn’t decided yet, after all, Sister Xiao Man’s previous results are there, but…. that person seems to be quite big, tsk tsk, it’s hard to say.” Sun Qian said with a sigh, “What you said about senior sister is true. I usually saw her as someone who looks quite calm and a self-contained person, but isn’t just a cat? Is it worth it to ruin your future?”

Yu Miaoyin smiled self-deprecatingly, leaning on her forehead and said, “Yes, is it worth it?”

It’s just a cat, why would senior sister make such a scene? Does this mean that Yu Miaoyin still holds at least a little bit of weight in Xiao Man’s heart? Yu Miaoyin shook her head, overthrowing her own delusion. The cat had died, and she was just a stranger who had a chance to meet the sister.

“Miao Miao, why do you care so much about Sister Xiao Man… for the good reason? I don’t remember you meeting her before.” Sun Qian voiced the doubts that have troubled her for a long time.

“I…. I…” Yu Miaoyin panicked in her heart and clutched the corner of the quilt and then loosening it, her hands full of sweat, “I’m just curious…. hehe…. just curious…”

How could Sun Qian be fooled by Yu Miaoyin’s act? She raised her eyebrows with her legs crossed, “Miaoyin, why are you still acting terribly with me? We’ve been friends for so many years for nothing.”

“I’m not!” Yu Miaoyin was in a state of anxiety, and she opened her mouth to explain the truth to Sun Qian, but she swallowed it back when she opened her mouth. Having been a cat for half a year is too bizarre, and she couldn’t tell that she have been secretly in love with Senior Sister for many years. Yu Miaoyin looked at Sun Qian with an expression ready to be tortured, begging for mercy, “Qianqian, don’t ask? I’ll tell you later!”

Sun Qian saw that Yu Miaoyin didn’t want to say anything, and didn’t really intend to ask the question, so she relaxed her expression and laughed lightly, “Is this what you’re saying?”

“When have I ever lied to you?”

“Okay, I’ll believe you for once.”

Sun Qian had a late class in the evening, and when it was almost time, she mentioned to Yu Miaoyin about how much everyone missed her and left. After she left, Yu Miaoyin couldn’t feel comfortable sitting or lying down, and she couldn’t sleep. She couldn’t wait to put on her wings and fly to Xiao Man’s side to tell her senior sister all her thoughts.

In the first half of the year, Yu Miaoyin had a long and beautiful dream about the cat, and when she woke up, everything was just an empty dream.

Xiao Man was put to be detained for ten days, but in fact, she was released in the afternoon after going in in the morning. When she came out, a middle-aged man with a big belly and a big smile on his face personally sent her out, and apologized repeatedly, asking her not to remember the mistakes of the adults. No need to ask, besides Xiao Man’s mother, who couldn’t see her three times a year, who else has such a great magical power? Or maybe it’s not her mother, but the man behind her mother who has the power.

A black Porsche was parked in front of the police station. Xiao Man paced carelessly with her hands in her pockets, and the window of the rear car was lowered halfway.

“Get in the car.” The woman said.

Xiao Man was unmoved.

The woman repeated, “Get in the car.”

The contempt in Xiao Man’s eyes flashed, and she spat out a few words softly, “I’m dirty.”

The woman’s face turned white, and she couldn’t even cover it up with her blush.

Xiao Man threw out the words and turned around, and the woman shouted behind her, “Xiao Man! Have you ever thought about your father when you keep doing this?”

Dad? Xiao Man laughed again, paused slightly in her steps, and continued to stride forward. The person who should feel most sorry for her father was the woman behind her.

Shortly after, Xiao Man received a suspension from school. When she received the news, she was digging a hole to bury her cat, hung up the phone without any reaction, continued to dig the hole as if nothing had happened, and when the hole was deep enough, put the dark jacket in, covered it with soil and buried it, and went back to her apartment.

No attachment, no tears, no sentimental nonsense. The whole process was no more than half an hour, the transformation was crisp and clean, no different from the old Xiao Man.

She sat cross-legged on the sofa all day long, either playing games or painting, online games, sketching and watercolor, like a robot, not needing to sleep. Only a glass of water and a bucket of instant noodles every day to live.

Xiao Man drew all kinds of cats, lying on their backs, awake and asleep, all with pure white fur, and halfway through the painting, they were shredded to pieces with a click of her mouse.

Next to Xiao Man was a broken cardboard box with a thick blanket and pillow inside, which belonged to a creature. This little thing left her  much faster than Xiao Man thought.

A few days later, Xiao Man received another notice that the punishment had been lifted and she could go back to finish her studies.

“Got it, thank you.” Xiao Man was playing a game at the time, calmly hung up the phone, and continued to pick up her PS4.

With unkempt hair and black eyes, she looked like a dead person. If Yu Miaoyin saw Xiao Man now, she would definitely be shocked. This was definitely not the senior sister she knew.

All things have to leave one day, even parents, not to mention an inhuman beast. What’s wrong with being alone? Xiao Man didn’t know what was wrong with her in the past, but she really wanted to find something to accompany her.

She stayed at home for two weeks, during which Mi Lin, Chu Fanxi, the teacher, and the others took turns harassing Xiao Man.

After two weeks, these people gave up, and Xiao Man thought she could finally clear her mind for a while, but unexpectedly there was a knock on the door again.

“The water and electricity meters are outside, so I don’t need an insurance delivery to the wrong person, get out.” Xiao Man shouted skillfully as she ate her instant noodles.

“Senor sister, I need to talk to you!” The voice was so clear that Xiao Man did not recognize the owner of the voice.

Xiao Man’s tongue was scalded by the hot noodles, and she unscrewed the mineral water bottle and gulped down a mouthful of water, almost coughing up tears.

“I’m not home, go away.”
